BIOGRAPHY
Fueled with tenacity and the desire to convey a powerful artful message; Saxophonist, composer, and band leader, Sean Harrison seeks to share his compelling musical voice. Brought up in an environment surrounded by a plethora of musical experiences and means of artistic expression, he actively pursues a wide variety of artistic endeavors.
A Southern California native, Sean developed an early interest in the arts having attended a multitude of concerts, plays, museums and exhibits which soon led to an incredible desire to create, teach and perform.
Limitless in his musical pursuits, Sean has led groups in venues such as the Blue Whale, LACMA and the Ford Theatre as well as shared the stage on numerous occasions with Solange Knowles. He has performed shows at the Hollywood Bowl, FYF and Camp Flog Gnaw. Fall 2017 Sean led a group and won the Angel City Young Arts Competition in Los Angeles. Sean has also shared the stage with the likes of Arturo Sandoval, Bill Watrous, Gary Pratt, Ricky Lawson, Pete Christlieb, Blood Orange, Moses Sumney and Barbra Morrison.
As a music educator, Sean works to develop and realize a process for each and every student he works with. He does this by honing in on his own process and experience in the music business. Sean makes an effort for students to express themselves and develop a strong relationship with their craft.
